Days to Christmas Terms

Effective 29 August 2026

These terms apply to Days to Christmas on iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Apple TV, Mac and Apple Vision Pro, including its widgets, Live Activity, iMessage stickers and Siri shortcuts (the “App”). They supplement our general Terms and Conditions (EULA), which apply to every app we make and which you accept by using the App. If anything on this page conflicts with the general terms, this page prevails for Days to Christmas. Our handling of your data is described in the Days to Christmas Privacy Policy.

1. What is free and what is Premium

The countdown, the widgets, the Santa Tracker, letters to Santa, the selfie booth and all 24 doors of the sensory Advent calendar are free, and we intend to keep them free. Premium is an optional purchase that adds all six scenes, extra snow and sparkle in the app and its widgets, and an unlimited number of people on the gift list (the free list holds three). Premium is offered in two forms:

  • Lifetime — a single one-off payment that unlocks Premium permanently on every device signed in to the same Apple Account. It can be restored at any time with Restore Purchases.
  • This Christmas Only — a season pass that unlocks Premium from the moment of purchase until the 1st of January that follows. It is a non-renewing purchase: it does not renew automatically, we take no further payment, and the App simply returns to the free tier when it ends. It is not shortened, extended or refunded pro rata if you buy late or early in the season, and you may buy it again the following year.

Prices are shown in the App before you buy and may vary by country and over time. All payments are processed by Apple through your Apple Account under the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions; we never see your payment details. Except where the law requires otherwise, purchases are non-refundable, and refund requests are handled by Apple under its own policies. There are no auto-renewing subscriptions in Days to Christmas.

2. The Founders offer

To thank the people who joined us at the start of version 2.0, anyone who first opened the App before 15 September 2026 receives Premium free of charge, for as long as that installation remains. The offer is worked out from the first-launch date recorded on your device, so it applies to that installation: if you delete the App and reinstall it, or move to a new device after the window has closed, the record is gone and Premium will need to be purchased. The Founders offer is a gift, not a purchase — it cannot be restored through Apple, transferred or exchanged for money. We may end the offer for new installations at any time without notice, but we will not withdraw it from an installation that already has it.

3. Santa, the tracker and the letters

The Santa Tracker, the workshop reports, Santa's globe and the Christmas Eve flight are a story told by the App for your family's enjoyment. The route, the timings and the distances are fictional and are not based on live data. When a child posts a letter to Santa, the letter stays on the device and the reply that arrives a few hours later is composed by the App itself; no person, organisation or artificial-intelligence service reads or answers it. Please treat everything Santa says as part of the magic rather than as a promise about presents, delivery times or anything else.

4. The sensory Advent activities

The 24 Advent doors suggest simple, everyday sensory activities — crunching fake snow, jingling bells, smelling a clove orange, tasting a candy cane, blowing bubbles and so on. They are ideas for families to try together, written with autistic and sensory-seeking children in mind, and every family and every child is different. You know your child; you decide what is suitable. In particular:

  • An adult should supervise every activity. Some involve small items, food, scented materials, warm or cold objects, or things that can be put in the mouth.
  • Check for allergies and intolerances before any activity that involves food, scents or skin contact, and adapt or skip anything that would not be safe or comfortable for your child.
  • Stop any activity that a child finds distressing. A sensory activity that one child loves may overwhelm another.

The activities are for enjoyment and are not medical, therapeutic, educational or diagnostic advice. The App does not assess, diagnose or treat any condition, and nothing in it is a substitute for advice from a qualified professional who knows your child.

5. Gift suggestions and Amazon links

Each Advent door can suggest a matching sensory gift, and the gift list lets you keep notes of your own. Tapping a suggestion opens a search on Amazon in your browser or the Amazon app; nothing is bought inside Days to Christmas, and we do not sell, stock, ship or support any product. Prices, availability, descriptions, reviews and your purchase are provided by Amazon and its sellers under Amazon's terms, and we are not responsible for them. Suggestions are starting points for your own judgement, not a guarantee that any product is suitable or safe for a particular child. Because gift links leave the App, parents may prefer to open them themselves.

We take part in the Amazon Associates Programme, an affiliate advertising programme designed to provide a means for sites and apps to earn advertising fees by linking to Amazon. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. This does not change the price you pay.

6. The camera, augmented reality and selfies

The selfie booth and Santa's globe in augmented reality use your device's camera. Use them somewhere safe: stay aware of your surroundings, do not use them while walking, driving or near hazards, and supervise children who are using them. The photos you take are yours. You are responsible for what you save and share, including making sure that anyone who appears in a picture — especially other people's children — is happy for it to be shared. Face detection runs on the device to position the props; it does not identify anyone and the App keeps no record of faces.

7. Widgets, Live Activities and other devices

Widgets, Lock Screen widgets, the Dynamic Island Live Activity, interactive Advent doors, iMessage stickers, Siri shortcuts, augmented reality and the Apple Watch, Apple TV, Mac and Apple Vision Pro apps each depend on the device you own and the version of its operating system. Not every feature is available on every device, and features may change, be added or be withdrawn in updates. Purchases made on one platform unlock Premium on the others where it is offered, through your Apple Account.

8. Content and intellectual property

The App, its scenes, artwork, animations, stickers, activity text, Santa's letters and the workshop reports belong to Accessible Resources Ltd. The music box plays traditional carol melodies that are in the public domain, performed by the App itself. You may save and share the countdown cards, selfies and stickers you make in the App for personal, non-commercial purposes, including on social media and in messages. You may not sell them, use them to promote a business, or present the App's artwork as your own.

Days to Christmas is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Apple Inc. or Amazon. Apple, App Store, Apple Watch, Apple TV, Apple Vision Pro, iPhone, iPad, Mac, Siri and Dynamic Island are trademarks of Apple Inc. Amazon and the Amazon logo are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates.

9. Ratings and reviews

From time to time the App may ask whether you would like to rate it. The request is shown by Apple's own review prompt, is never tied to a reward or to unlocking a feature, and can be dismissed at any time.

10. Everything else

Our general Terms and Conditions (EULA) cover the licence to use the App, restrictions, updates and availability, mobile data, the disclaimer of warranties, limitation of liability, indemnification, termination, the additional terms that apply to apps obtained from the Apple App Store, and governing law (Northern Ireland). Those sections apply to Days to Christmas in full. Nothing on this page limits any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited under the law of the country where you live.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the App changes. The “Effective” date above shows when they were last revised, and the current version always applies to the current version of the App.
